Stumbled across this on Funchal and what a treat! Beautiful outdoor seating area. We had salmon with celeriac mash (wow!).

Update January 2025 Had another great meal here at Tipografia, enjoyed the same goats cheese as last time as well as the salmon for mains, plus had the duck main which was also good, if a little over for a 'medium'. Desserts this time were chocolate brownie and the sauteed mango pie, both good. All the staff were pleasant and efficient as always -o- One of the best meals to date we have had in Madeira, a lovely restaurant with a nice and quiet courtyard as well. Had goats cheese starters, pork cheeks & the salmon for mains, red fruit soup for dessert. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted exceptional, the pork cheeks especially. The staff are also amazing, they know about the dishes and the wine and are kind, courteous and also funny (and they didn't mind me trying out my terrible Portuguese on them!). Will be back here for sure next time in Madeira ????????????????
